On qualification he remained with the same firm of lawyers and worked in the crime team. Rob gained invaluable experience in advising a wide range of clients including children, the elderly and those with learning difficulties or mental health problems.

STEP logoSince 2012 Rob has concentrated on updating and expanding his knowledge of trusts and estates. He is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and completed the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates with distinction. Rob received a Worldwide Excellence Award  from STEP for gaining the highest mark of any candidate in the June 2018 Trust and Estate Accounting (England & Wales) Advanced Certificate exam.

Rob prides himself on being a lawyer who gives advice in plain language and making it as easy as possible to understand sometimes complex issues. Many clients find that the daunting prospect of making a will or administering someone’s affairs seem much easier after their meeting with him.

Rob has experience in dealing with cross border estates, trusts and elderly clients. He can quickly and sensitively assess mental capacity and advise on suitable steps to ensure that any Will can be robustly defended if challenged.

Rob has been appointed as a part time Judge of the First Tier Tribunal and hears appeals in relation to social security payments.  He sits as an Assistant Coroner and away from work Rob is a trustee of the Wessex Children’s Hospice Trust which runs Naomi House & Jacksplace in Sutton Scotney.

‘From our first meeting at your offices and then at subsequent meetings and at my various court appearances you always offered honest and constructive advice, always presented in a friendly and sensitive way.

‘I would be more than happy at any time to commend your services to any party and cannot speak highly enough of the quality and care you have always provided. I will not forget you.’ Mr C.M.

‘The advice was clear, understandable and comprehensive. Execution of matters also exemplary.’ Mr A.R

‘Your services were excellent – professional and good humoured – during what was a particularly difficult and distressing time for me.’ Mrs M.O
